The XIX BarnaSants Festival de Cançó d’Autor will have over one hundred artists until the 14th April.
Cesk Freixas, Pau Alabajos, Els Catarres, Andreu Rifé and Maria del Mar Bonet are some of the artists that will play in this new edition of BarnaSants, after Dani Flaco opened it the last Thursday with the presentation of his last work, “Versos y madera”, in L’Auditori.
The festival has a protest tradition, and it will continue with its call for political and social non-conformism. This years’ slogan, “The homeland is the people”, shows this willpower, which will be reflected in the tribute to General Moragues, the music and poesy show that will recall the Civil War on 22nd March or the concert “Love and anarchy songs”, which will remember the 40th anniversary of the murder of Salvador Puig Antich.
